First Steps Early Intervention Program
Developing Foundations...Creating Opportunities
A young child’s life is often measured by a series of firsts, such as their first smile, their first words, and their first steps. But sometimes children need a little extra help to reach those childhood milestones.
The First Steps Early Intervention Program at accessAbilities provides children with the support and therapies that they need to create a solid foundation for early learning. Our team of licensed, highly skilled professionals works with children under the age of three. By identifying and strengthening their basic skills at an early age, children are given the best opportunity for a successful future.
Our therapists and early education specialists will work with the family in the child’s home or the location of the child’s caregiver to develop an individualized service plan based upon the family’s priorities. Family members or caregivers have the opportunity to participate and observe each session so that they are able to continue reinforcing the child's skills or behaviors between sessions.
How to Access Services for Your Child
Early intervention services are available free of charge to any child with a developmental delay, diagnosis, or who is at
risk of a developmental delay. If you have concerns about your child's development, contact Project Connect at
1-800-692-7288 to discuss a free screening. Once it's determined that the child is eligible for services, families can
select accessAbilities as their service provider.
