For more than 50 years, accessAbilities First Steps Early Intervention Program has played an important role in helping children with special needs reach important learning milestones, laying the foundation for a lifetime of learning from the time they are born until they turn three.
For a child with a developmental delay, early services are the "FIRST STEPS" to a solid foundation for growth and learning. By identifying and strengthening basic skills at an early age, your child is given the best opportunity for a successful future.
 |
Our Services include:
Physical Therapy:
By focusing on exercises such as flexibility and movement, licensed physical therapists promote large muscle development. When your child is ready, work begins on skill such as rolling over, sitting, crawling and walking.
Occupational Therapy:
Licensed occupational therapists focus on small muscle development. They help your child reach, grasp toys and play in a purposeful way.
Speech Therapy:
Speech Language Pathologist work on building an early foundation for language development. When needed, feeding and swallowing therapy is provided.
Special Instruction:
If your child has needs in areas such as problem solving or social skills, our team of experienced early childhood teachers can provide therapy. All of our teachers are trained in using creative techniques to mold the foundation that is necessary for your child to realize their potential.
Vision and Hearing:
Certified teachers of the visually or hearing impaired help your child work toward independence.
