Consumer Choice

As part of our efforts to empower individuals, accessAbilities offers consumers two different models of service so that they can select the model that works best for their situation.  Consumers can choose agency-directed services and accessAbilities will manage their staff and services.

Or if consumers prefer to take a more active role in directing their own services, they can select the Fiscal/Employer Agent (F/EA) option that empowers the consumer to be the actual employer. This provides consumers with greater choice, flexibility, and control over their services, including hiring and supervision of their Consumer Employed Workers (CEWs).  accessAbilities F/EA will provide consumers with coaching on how to hire and supervise CEWs, information about trainings that we will make available for their employees, fiscal management services including payroll and taxes, and more. It’s the individual consumer’s choice!
