1000 Pregnant Women Wanted
Women in Westmoreland County who are thinking of becoming pregnant, or who are already pregnant, may qualify to become involved with a landmark study conducted by the National Institutes of Health.
The National Children's Study (NCS) is the largest study of children's health and development ever to be conducted in the United States. The NCS will investigate the impact of food, water, air, soil, economics and education on the health and development of 100,000 children across the U.S. Westmoreland County has been selected as a study site and 1,000 children from the county will participate in this goundbreaking and innovative effort. The study is longitudinal, meaning a child will be followed from birth to age 21.
